Introduction

Many of us came to this country with some kind of fire for Christ; but sadly, have forgotten God, and now chase the “good life”

Some were professionals, business persons, employers, or, with vibrant career, but are now subdued without real life. The only thing we can probably boast of is earning more money –and, that is if you apply exchange rate! But, no real life.

Jeremiah 2:4 – 7 This has happened in the past and God does not like it. Read the whole chapter to see how God regards such apostasy.

**God is there for those who are steadfast in their faith

It is God that makes your good better, and your better, best; you need Him more than He needs you!

*      You are striving to be somebody, but He is already God!

*      You are in need; He is looking for whom to give from His limitless bounties!

*      You are looking for answers, He has answers

*      You pray for things, He grants prayers

*      You are conditioned by external circumstances; He does whatsoever comes to His mind

*      You are lost and confused, He is the way

*      You are hungry: He is the bread of life

We have missed the plot and need to put on our thinking cap before it is too late!

We need to return to God and be upright in our walk with Him Psalm 15:1 – 2 We need His glory to cover us that our lives may be glorious.

These 4 young men were accomplished people in their country -nobility and in a new land they did not become less, but excelled even better than the people of the land! It is God that can give us better & lasting life –real life.

Finally

What alluring, attractive or ‘shine-shine’ thing is that which makes you forget your 1st love or compromise your Christianity? Is it pounds? Draw near to Him, and let Him draw near to you with the goodies that accompany Him!

God protects his own, favours them and can send them helpers –when a man’s way please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him (Proverbs 16:7); In a foreign land, 2 spies are helped by Rahab (Joshua 2: 3 – 6, 15 – 16)

God can make you better than your mates (Hebrews 1:9)

John 6: 27 – 35 Seek the meat that does not perish.
